This research article examines the influence of media on family values in Kazakhstan. It aims to explore how media and mass communication channels affect the institution of the family – particularly in relation to values such as marriage, gender roles, and shared family time. By analyzing the media’s impact on traditional family values from an academic perspective, the study contributes to a deeper understanding of the root causes and consequences of ongoing societal changes in this area. To thoroughly address the topic and derive key insights, the article employs both scientific and empirical methods, including comparative visual tables. It investigates how media-distributed content alters perceptions of family and highlights generational differences in media influence. Drawing on statistical data and sociological research, the study identifies the core values that are significant to families of Kazakhstan. Additionally, it examines the psychological effects of media content on family values and its role in the socialization process. The findings of this scholarly article provide theoretical and conceptual insights for students of journalism, communications, public relations, psychology, sociology, political science, and law. Furthermore, this research will be valuable for anyone interested in understanding how media shapes family values.
