Abstract

Until recently, the idea that Artificial Intelligence (AI) could be applied to the profession of writing journalistic texts seemed unimaginable. Today, however, AI tools assist authors of articles, radio, and TV programs in creating creative projects and being more mobile.

This study aims to analyze the integration of AI technologies into journalistic practice in Kazakhstan. It focuses on the application of AI in the creation, distribution, and processing of journalistic materials, and assesses its impact on creative processes in mass media. The research examines AI's role in editorial work, with particular attention to ethical issues and its effects on content creation and distribution.

The scientific significance of the work lies in understanding the degree of AI integration into Kazakhstan's journalism, providing insights into its role and potential in the evolving media space. The practical significance lies in the need to address journalistic ethics and information credibility, as well as the need to improve professional journalistic training for effective AI use.

The research methodology includes a survey of 103 respondents, including journalists and students, to assess their attitudes toward AI tools and the impact of new media technologies. Content analysis and monitoring of scientific publications were also conducted to identify trends and approaches to AI integration in journalism.

The study reveals a high level of AI awareness among journalists in Kazakhstan and identifies key barriers, such as the need for human refinement of AI-generated content. It also highlights differing attitudes toward AI ethics, with most respondents viewing its use in journalism as ethical, while some consider it unethical.

The study’s value lies in its contribution to understanding AI's role in Kazakhstani journalism and suggesting ways to improve its integration into media practice, ultimately improving the quality and effectiveness of journalistic work.
