Abstract

This article discusses some of the features of gender stereotypes in society as one of the important factors in the formation and development of modern means of mass communication. The media are the main source of information to citizens. The author argues that gender issues that arose in connection with the intensity of television, with the growth of women’s participation in public life of citizens through advertising and television, deserves attention in the aspect of modern gender relations.
