The concept of genre in literature and journalism

Abstract

The article is devoted to the definition «genre», its content and pecu- larities.The main idea of the article is the role of genre in literature and jour- nalism, its differentiation and connection. It is considered and described typical features of journalism and literature. The article gives an overview    of the polysemantic meaning of the term «genre». The main content of the scientific work composes of the fiction literature analysis. The article gives    a detailed analysis of «literature» and «journalism» definitions. Much atten- tion is given to the role and connection between literature and journalism.
