The publicistic and editorial activity of platon alekseevich oyunsky

Abstract

This article considers the publicistic and editorial activity of Platon Alekseevich Oyunsky, one of the founders of the Yakut Autonomous Re- public. In the first years of Soviet times he started publishing periodicals in the Yakut language. Platon Oyunsky was one of the originators of the Yakut Publishing House, the Union of Writers of Yakutia  and the Research insti- tute of language and culture at the Council of People’s Commissars of the Yakut  Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. He made a huge contribution   to establishment of the press in Yakutia in the 1920-1930th years. The au- thor states that Platon Oyunsky had a significant impact on the formation    of the ethnic Renaissance and reveals his role in the definition of the main directions of a state policy concerning periodicals.
