Abstract

In Kazakhstan, a multicultural and polyconfessional state, tolerance, ethnic and religious harmony are the basis of the country’s stability. The information policy of Kazakhstan is aimed at creating and maintaining a favorable image of the country. Active work is underway to consolidate society by in- troducing and updating concepts that must be understood and accepted by the country’s multi-ethnic population. Media discourse plays an important role in this process.

The purpose of the article is to analyze the texts of the event media discourse of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan (APK). Media discourse is understood as any kind of discourse implemented in the field of mass communication.

Research methods. The organization of event communication is analyzed by the author using the methods of content analysis, discourse analysis, framing and storytelling.

The scientific and practical significance of the study lies in identifying the pragmatic role of concepts as a consolidating aspect of Kazakhstani society. Thus, the analysis of the frame organization of the texts of events revealed the following features: the stereotype of the context, the repetition of the internal content, the visual accompaniment of the situation, the fixation of messages. The storytelling method was used to provide visual support for the events. The power of visual storytelling is evident because it uses the expres- sion of the impact of the image. The article shows the inclusion of the APK year frame in the communicative space from the point of view of news management (expectation of an event, its coverage and resonance). The communicative analysis of the APK events showed a clear segmentation of the target audiences of the events, the pragmatic role of consolidating concepts in the organization of the communicative space.
