The article deals with the transformation of mass media in the digital age. The main purpose of the study was to identify the dominant trends that determine changes in the field of mass communication in the context of the development of information technology and the Internet. Identification of changes in the global space and the media space of Kazakhstan due to a multiple increase in the volume of information, a paradigm shift in social networks and content creation, cognitive abundance was also one of the areas of research. Answers to questions about how these changes affect political, social and economic relations in the state were given during the analysis of state programs such as "Digital Kazakhstan".
Even though today's media problems are global in nature, the nature of the unique challenges for each country will be different. The combination of European technologies and the rapidly growing Asian market requires active interaction between the media structures of Europe and Asia. In the context of globalization, the tradition of publishing an original event in one type of media has changed, the possibility of distributing content on several information platforms and social networks has completely changed the model of news replication. To study such a transformation and trends of change, the authors analyze the stages of technological breakthroughs in past centuries based on the principles of comparativeism, taking into account the characteristics of the digital age, and draw conclusions using the methods of observation, content analysis and structural-functional analysis. The article states that in Kazakhstan these transformations can be seen in political, social and economic relations through the political mood of the society.
The conclusions of the study show that as the technological nature strengthens in the relationship between the authorities and the people, the forms of citizens' influence on economic and political decisions, the struggle for their rights and protest models will also be improved.
