The article presents the case study of "Buryad FM" radio station, recognized as the first mass media in Russia to utilize five of the most widespread Buryat dialects on an equal footing. This initiative originated from the Buddhist Traditional Sangha of Russia, and since 2016, "Buryad FM" has been broadcasting on FM frequencies. The objective of this research is to analyze the organizational structure and programming policy of the radio station. This analysis is crucial for documenting the operational experience of a minority-language media entity for subsequent academic scrutiny and for advancing theoretical understandings regarding the functioning of mass media in minoritized linguistic environments. The paper provides a detailed examination of the station's organizational framework and editorial strategy. It describes both daily segments and those broadcast with regular periodicity. The specific characteristics of the radio station are identified; notably, it is emphasized that "Buryad FM" represents significant interest as a model of cooperation between mass media and religious institutions aimed at language preservation. The research methodology is based on a content analysis of the "Buryaad FM" radio station's broadcast schedule, interviews with the editor-in-chief, and an analysis of the media outlet's financial structure. The scholarly value of the study lies in its contribution to the body of knowledge concerning ethnic mass media practices, specifically within the radio sector. It broadens the conceptual understanding of the role played by ethnic media outlets within the broader Russian media system. The findings may be beneficial not only to researchers but also to industry, serving as a comprehensive case study of an ethnic media organization possessing a distinct concept and target audience.
