Abstract

In the article the author analyzed the definitions of Kazakh publicism proposed by scientists and shown his opinion and conclusions. He compares the term “journalism”, proposed by Kazakh scientists, based on Ahmet Baitursynov`s definition where journalism is the art of influence on the public. The author gives his own version. By the determination of journalism’s non-native scholars offer sounds like, “zamansoz.” In the Ahmet Baitursynov`s definition the journalism means storytelling - “sheshensoz”, in writing - “kosemsoz”.
