Abstract

This article provides an insight into recent trends in the communication strategies used in improving financial literacy in Kazakhstan. One of the pressing problems in many transition countries is widespread financial illiteracy among its population. The great complexity of some financial instruments has contributed to a poor understanding of financial and other risks. This article assesses the effectiveness of public social announcements (PSA’s) and the media in enhancing financial literacy in Kazakhstan. Elmira Alim has done a thorough analysis of statistical data that shеd light on the improvement in the levels of financial literacy among the population.
