Abstract

This article analyzes the importance of the media and journalism in modern society, will present the main challenges faced by modern society in terms of the spread of digital technology, introduces the development trends of the information space, the practice of mass media in the context of globalization, commercialization and convergence, special attention the specifics of the global media system. It also focused on the emergence of new types of content, the emergence of new consumer information on changing priorities in media consumption, the formation of new business models and market structures of media.
