Abstract

This article describes A.Seydimbek’s research work about Kazakh folklore. He attached great importance to this area in the literary work of the Kazakh people. Also there is scientific analysis of studies on one of the areas of folklore – folk songs that have been passed from mouth to mouth. The article includes information related to genre features of Kazakh folk songs and about researches that were conduct up to this time.
