Erbol Shaymerdenuly – the first professional press secretary of Kazakhstan

Abstract

The decision on the organization of the press center of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan was adopted August 7, 1990. Determine the place of press conferences and briefings, conference rooms CPC Central Committee and the hotel «Dostyk» in Alma-Ata. It is recommended to hold a press conference at least once a month, in other cases – as needed. Approved by the State of a new structural unit in the composition of the head – the press secretary, and four consultants. September 12, 1990 Press Secretary was approved E.Sh. Shaimerdenov. This was the first official press office in the history of the central authorities. The emergence of the new for our society Information Institute, was seen as a real step forward in favor of the development of democracy and openness.
