Abstract

The aim of the article is to analyse the transformation of media communication in contemporary mass media and digital media space, manifested in a shift in emphasis from neutral information transfer to emotional impact on the audience.

The main directions and ideas of the work are related to identifying manifestations of verbal aggression and hate speech in media discourse, as well as determining their role in shaping public consciousness, social attitudes and conflictual sentiments.

The scientific significance of the research lies in clarifying the conceptual apparatus associated with verbal aggression and hate speech, as well as in expanding the understanding of the mechanisms of emotionalisation of media content in the context of digitalisation.

The practical significance lies in the possibility of using the conclusions of the work in the development of professional and ethical standards for journalistic activity.

The methodological basis of the study consists of the analysis and synthesis of scientific literature on the problems of media language, journalism and digital communications, a comparison of the theoretical approaches of domestic and foreign authors.

The results of the study and analysis show that verbal aggression and hate speech in contemporary media and digital media are becoming persistent and systematic, serving as tools for emotional influence and manipulation of public opinion. It has been found that these practices contribute to increased social tension and reduced tolerance in society.

The value of the study lies in its comprehensive examination of aggressive speech practices in a unified media space that combines traditional media and digital platforms.

The practical significance of the results of the work can be used in the activities of journalists, editors and media specialists to improve the level of speech culture, prevent hate speech and form responsible media discourse.
