Abstract

The paper is a review of journals with a high impact factor, the subject of which were media, information and communications of Asian countries. This is about 20 magazines. Each has its own history, scientific value and high level. The purpose of the article is to show that along with the highly rated scientific journals of the countries of Europe and the USA, in the Asian region there are quality publications on media and communication. This topic rarely falls into the sphere of research of Kazakhstani scientists, therefore the author tries to show new opportunities for young scientists who can combine their research interests with the leading Schools of Journalism and Communication in Asian countries. Analyzed journals, primarily «Asian Journal of Communication» and «Media Asia» are presented as the leading publications of the Asian Media Information and Communication Center (AMIC).The author comes to the conclusion that in Asia there is a considerable intellectual potential of scientific journals and scientific researchers that make a significant contribution to the theory and practice of communication. For decades, these journals have maintained high ratings and allow their publications to be scientifically proven and in demand.
