The article actualizes the problems of the positive and negative influence of the modern Internet, social networks on young people. In the context of the development of a digital society, it is becoming more and more obvious that young people, as a special social group, must play a key role in the development of the state and society. Young people are the future of Kazakhstan, a generation that differs significantly from other groups of the population in terms of health, intellectual activity and mobility. In the context of any research, it is necessary to consider each individual representative of youth as a real person with his own way of social formation and development. Through social media, people not only communicate, but also share advice, professional skills, promote their activities, conclude deals and conduct research. Purpose: to analyze and find signs of the influence of social networks on the formation of values of modern youth. Scientific ideas: the rapid spread of Internet communications, immersion in the virtual environment for a young person does not pass without a trace. We see how a large flow of information affects the mind of a young person. The results of the research are such that the significance of information and communication technologies in the process of deformation of value orientations, the specifics of modern ideas of young people about the place of social values in the living space is confirmed. The value of the study lies in the generalization of the experience of the negative impact of social networks on the formation of the value system of modern youth. The publication notes that the impact of social networks is ambiguous, the negative impact is more acute, strong and leads to deeper negative consequences. Signs of individualistic behavior are increasingly showing up in the minds of Kazakhstan youth to replace socially significant values, and contradictory views of the world are becoming more noticeable.
Key words: Internet, social network, information society, computer literacy, distance learning.
