Abstract

Today, the function of social media has changed. Apart from their responsibilities as the primary means of communication, they have also taken on the function of disseminating information in various genres and forms.

The purpose of this study is to study methods of broadcasting content in the Kazakh language in Telegram. Find out why Telegram's advantages over other social networks have made it a media competitor. To achieve this goal, the task was set to take one information portal broadcasting in the Kazakh language and analyze its content and format in Telegram. Also, it has been established that the number of subscribers to telegram information channels significantly exceeds the circulation of periodicals.

Telegram is a reliable social network both in terms of security and in protecting the personal data. Even if the quality of the content is maintained, the audience will often turn to this network. Also in 2019, when there were conflicts in the country and the Internet was blocked, residents connected to the Internet via VPN and received information through this telegram network. Even during the January 2022 incident, people accessed the Internet through proxy servers and received news through Telegram.

The article provides statistical data; in connection with the topic of comparison and research, content analysis and quantitative methods are used. The opinions of foreign experts were also given.

The practical significance of the research article lies in adapting information to Telegram channels, thereby attracting the audience to the newspaper, website and TV channel. In addition, they will be able to receive updates on the preparation of content for Telegram.
