The purpose and idea of this study is to determine the significant role of the media in confronting the worldwide issue of climate change, which arises from human actions that disturb the global atmosphere and create severe socio-economic and environmental hazards. The main focuses of the scientific work are on the worldwide scope of climate change and the obligation of media associations to raise awareness and inspire action. While climate change represents a significant hazard, its comprehension by the public remains problematic. Media plays a crucial role as a primary source of information that shapes public opinions, influences civic participation, and fosters awareness. Therefore, the results and analysis of this study propose effective climate journalism as a solution, stressing the practical significance of the article to ensure that media professionals are well informed and trained on climate topics, and calling for climate-related content in communication curricula. The article's methodology examines the issue of climate change denial and identifies numerous groups, including the media, who contribute to skepticism. Additionally, the practical implications of the findings highlight the potential of documentaries as a powerful instrument for communicating the gravity of the climate crisis and shaping public opinion. The study provides examples of impactful documentaries that have made a difference. The scientific significance of the study involves collaboration among communication scholars, media outlets and institutions, demonstrating the important value of scientific work in elevating climate and environmental awareness across diverse media platforms.
