The article deals with the problem of transformation of theater journalism in the era of multimedia. It is noted that theater journalism, being an integral part of art journalism, broadcasts, in addition to aesthetic, also intercultural information. This is especially important in the modern period of development of information and communication technologies, which determine new ways of delivering content. The purpose of the article is to determine the peculiarities of the genres transformation on the Internet, the analysis of theatrical online media. The scientific significance of the article include an attempt to identify and describe new formats of online theater journalism in terms of content, style and information value.
The research methodology provides a systematic approach, a method of comparative analysis. In the process of working with empirical material, the author also uses the method of content analysis. The result of the research is the formulation of new directions of theater journalism at the present stage of development of multimedia technologies. Today, information about the phenomena in the world of theater art is not only a reflection of the development of the cultural policy, but also an ideological narrative, which determines the scientific value of this article. The practical significance of the article is due to the prospect of using the results in the development of practical classes in art journalism, cultural studies and communication theory. In addition, the results of the research can be applied in courses on the history of theater art, special courses on the methods of work of a theater journalist and media communication.
